The hammer head makes a stable and high quality impression. The same applies to the very roughened handle and the connection between the two. A total failure is unfortunately the hook at the end of the handle. This may be suitable for pulling the simplest herrings out of loose soil, but not for more. The metal used for the hook has about the hardness of a metal clothes hanger, which meant that it stretched out immediately the first time it was used and was therefore permanently unusable. You basically buy a reusable rubber mallet at a good price, but you can't use the hook.
