Merino wool
Merino wool is used for Devold products. This wool has exceptional lustre, maximum breathability and is incredibly soft. Merino wool is very strong but soft on the skin and has a natural elasticity. The fibre is softer and more comfortable on the skin than conventional sheep’s wool.

Micron
The thickness of the wool is given in micrometres. The number of micrometres, i.e. the thickness of the fibre in thousandths of a millimetre, is considered a quality criterion. The fewer micrometres the wool fibre has, the finer it's.

- Medium thickness wool = 19.6 - 22.9 microns
- Fine wool = 18.6 - 19.5 microns
- Superfine wool = 15 - 18.5 microns
- Ultrafine wool = 11.5 - 15 microns
