In-Mold Construction
With In-Mold construction, the robust polycarbonate outer shell is bonded to the EPS inner shell in a single operation during foaming of the impact-absorbing EPS inner shell. The helmet becomes, without extra weight, even more resistant. This production process also makes it possible to form much better ventilation systems and openings. In-Mold helmets are, compared to traditional helmets, lighter and have significantly better ventilation systems.
Super Fit Engineering
The Super Fit sizing system is the basis of Giro's product design and development process. Giro's many years of experience make it possible to access an enormous amount of measurement data of the most diverse head and face forms during development. After the most varied and intensive tests in Giro's laboratories, the product is subjected to further hard practical tests and put through its paces by Giro's team riders, who then optimise it until the maximum fit and comfort is achieved. Of course, Giro doesn’t compromise on quality and functionality - this is what Giro understands by Super FitSystem.
Roc Loc 5 Fit System
The new benchmark for fitting systems is without a doubt the Roc Loc 5 fitting system. The adjustment mechanism is in a mini housing. The size adjustment is easy and in micro grids with two fingers. Additionally, the system can be adjusted in height so that a perfect fit of the helmet is guaranteed.
X-StaticAnti-Microbial
X-Static is a pure silver fibre. It is antibacterial and thus fights odour-forming bacteria. Its heat-reflecting and heat-shielding properties provide a pleasant climate and increased comfort.
Therformed SL RollCage
The Thermoformed SL Polycarbonate Roll Cage is 49% lighter than conventional composite reinforcements, offering outstanding stability. Thanks to the new SL Roll Cage, 15% less compressed EPS foam can also be used, which in turn reduces weight without sacrificing safety.
