50% less weight and incredible traction on ice and hard packed snow.
To save up half the weight on a snowshoe, Komperdell not only had to change from aluminum to carbon but also had to completely rethink the way how snowshoes are built.
Conventional snowshoes always consist of frame with a separate decking. For the carbon snowshoe both, frame and decking, are laminated in one single step. This made this snowshoe much lighter and stronger.
Having half the weight on your feet makes all the difference – each step becomes so much easier you will find it hard to believe, you have to feel it.
