Product description
Hanwag Alaska GTX Women brown (brown)
Comfortable, robust and versatile. An award-winning hiking classic and one of Hanwag's best sellers.
Strap-On Crampon
With crampon resistant sole and support on the heel prepared for crampons with toggle bindings (without front bar). Optimal for all-round use in the mountains, easy climbing, firn fields, glacier crossings etc.
Deep-Pull Lacing
The shoe is perfectly secured in the ankle area via a deep draw hook. This counteracts twisting, prevents blisters (through improved heel fit) and provides surefootedness.
Air Pulse System
Air exchange through pumping movements in and on the shaft causes a better climate in the shoe.
Shock Absorption
Impact damping in the heel area. Especially in shoes with firm and therefore hard outsoles, shocks are thus softly cushioned.
Less Seams
Fewer seams reduce the risk of potential pressure points, seam wear, etc. This looks simple, but is difficult and expensive to produce.
Elevated Brim
The hand-applied, circumferential scree guard protects the upper from wear and stabilises the shape of the shoe.
GORE TEX
Ultra-thin and light membrane made of stretched, microporous PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), especially suitable for colder climates. Processed as a lining, it guarantees durable waterproof and highly breathable footwear.
Vibram
Named after "Vittorio Bramani", probably the most famous manufacturer of soles for mountain and trekking boots. Meanwhile, there are also a number of other manufacturers of high-quality soles.
