The Socks 400 are elastic at the shaft and ankles. The merino wool is cuddly soft and does not smell after repeated use. It can store up to 30 percent of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp.

These thicker garments are designed as a middle layer - to optimise the thermal insulation between the"close-fitting" functional underwear and the outer layer, which is worn to protect against wind and moisture. It is especially used for lower temperatures or quieter activities.

This is a knitted terry fabric, one side knitted smooth and the other made of terry loops. The airy terry mesh in combination with the crimped structure of the wool form a jersey knit that binds a lot of air, resulting in very good insulating properties. The thicker the layer of air on the body, the less body heat can escape.
