Green Shape is the VAUDE seal of approval for products that are manufactured in a particularly environmentally friendly manner. This includes the complete production cycle from development and production to maintenance and usability after use. The criteria for this are strict. The products must consist either of at least 90 percent organically grown cotton, recycled materials or the Tencel wood fibre. Furthermore, they must have been dyed with the environmentally friendly dyeing process VAUDE eColour or meet the world's strictest environmental textile standard Bluesign. VAUDE's goal is the best for man and nature.
Waterproof and breathable membrane made from 100% recycled, PFC-free material. The membrane, in turn, is up to 100% recyclable.
The VAUDE label "PVC-free" means that this product is manufactured 100% free of PVC (polyvinyl choride). It looks like tarpaulin canvas, is just as durable and waterproof, but is made from PU (polyurethane) coated fabric rather than PVC. PVC largely contains plasticizers (phthalates) that are considered to be harmful to your health.
For this product, Vaude uses a proportion of Terracare leather from German bulls. The high environmental compatibility has been awarded several times with the Gold Medal of the Leather Working Group. This guarantees you a natural wearing comfort and a resource- and environment-friendly production.
