Robust and winter-proof outdoor accommodation! Even when the weather really means business, the Mark XT 4P provides all the weather protection you need to sleep soundly through the night. It's not only the sturdy, rugged DAC tent poles made from high quality AL 7001 aluminum that are keeping you safe from the storm, but also the free-standing, stormproof construction and the full coverage of the tent fly. VAUDE´s classic Mark technology guarantees that four people will have plenty of room to move along with enough space for their gear, rain proof ventilation and a comfortable microclimate inside the tent. A Mark tent just wouldn't be a Mark if it couldn't be set up in a flash: thanks to the practical outer tent poles with elastic attachment and the tent pole pockets in the fly. No need to fumble around threading the poles through a sleeve! In addition, the elastic connection between the outer tent and poles automatically compensates for the effects of strong wind gusts. To keep everything nice and dry even in bad weather, it also features a bathtub floor and the Mark XT 4P's three entrances and large XT vestibule mean less time tripping up over each other getting in and out. Another benefit of the large vestibule: There's plenty of room for cooking and hanging out with your friend. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally friendly, functional products made from sustainable materials.
VAUDE products with Eco Finish are environmentally friendly and water-repellent without fluorocarbons (PFC). PFC belong to a group of chemical compounds that are used in many outdoor products to impregnate the outer fabric. They have been criticised for not being degradable, accumulating in the body and being suspected of being harmful to health. VAUDE has a clear commitment not to use PFC at all.
The VAUDE label "PVC-free" means that this product is manufactured 100% free of PVC (polyvinyl choride). It looks like tarpaulin canvas, is just as durable and waterproof, but is made from PU (polyurethane) coated fabric rather than PVC. PVC largely contains plasticizers (phthalates) that are considered to be harmful to your health.
Fair Wear Foundation
VAUDE is committed to good working conditions and fair wages for all and is a member of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF). In this way, Vaude undertakes to continuously improve working conditions in all production facilities. These are regularly checked. VAUDE has achieved the highest status as an FWF member with the Leader Status.
Green Shape is the VAUDE seal of approval for products that are manufactured in a particularly environmentally friendly manner. This includes the complete production cycle from development and production to maintenance and usability after use. The criteria for this are strict. The products must consist either of at least 90 percent organically grown cotton, recycled materials or the Tencel wood fibre. Furthermore, they must have been dyed with the environmentally friendly dyeing process VAUDE eColour or meet the world's strictest environmental textile standard Bluesign. VAUDE's goal is the best for man and nature.
