If you are looking for a robust low-cut approach shoe that can also be used to make a via ferrata, you should take a closer look at the Zodiac GTX. This shoe does not only have an outstanding fit but is also equipped with a GORE-TEX Performance Comfort membrane which, together with the 1.8 mm thick leather upper, makes it waterproof. The Vibram Drumlin sole also provides excellent grip and excellent edge stability. Thanks to the lacing that extends far to the toes, the Zodiac can be perfectly adapted to the foot and sits like a second skin.

I can only recommend the shoe. Unlike many other shoes from this category, the Zodiac GTX has a really good, stiff and non-slip sole.
Ride is similar to a lightweight mountaineering boot only with the comfort of a sneaker.

Great shoes
I buy Scarpa as I have relatively narrow feet and I find them to be an excellent fit in general and these are no different. The description of the shoe is accurate and if you are looking for a rugged and waterproof below the ankle approach shoe, these are excellent. They’re not the kind of shoe you would naturally wear to the shops as they have fairly stiff soles to fulfil their intended purpose.
