Vibram XS Edge
Developed to provide maximum edging support, the VIBRAM XS Edge compound delivers excellent pure grip while adding improved firmness for the most challenging edging moves. Thanks to an improved resistance to plastic distortion, it keeps its shape even after hours of use, maintains consistent feel in both hot and cold temperatures, and is formulated for improved durability.

BI-Tension
This tension system uses a reverse slingshot rand anchored under the critical toe area to connect directly to the heel rand. The patent-pending system actively pulls power from the toes to provide higher performance without cramming your toes forward.

M70 rubber
M70 is a rubber compound that offers good levels of adaptability and containment at the same time. A rating of 70 makes it perfect for use on the toe rand and strategic positioning around the shoe upper.

A pair of comfortable shoes is suitable for those who want to ditch the beginner's shoes. I wear size 37 everyday and bought 37.5. I bought them in October 2019 and they gave up in March 2021 so they lasted about 1.5 years before the rubber ran out on the toe. (averaged about two sessions a week). However, the shoes had almost no friction left when I retired them. Kind of like when an eraser has dried completely and can no longer erase.

However, I hope this improves as you get used to them, but in any case they are very insensitive on the climbing wall and do not give a clear sense of where you are standing on the wall.
