Top shoe with incomprehensible weaknesses
Translated from the German To the original
light, good workmanship, high quality materials, stable, gives firm hold. I usually wear size 43, with trekking boots 44 - they fit here as well. But they are relatively narrow. There are 2 insoles with 'velcro adapter' included, as you can vary between two widths: 'medium' and 'narrow'. In tests, these shoes have done very well, especially because of the extremely good grip. Yesterday I was in the snow for running in - really slippery. As with most shoes I would like some more shock absorption in the heel area, after a few miles on hard ground my feet hurt - maybe a single fate? For softer deposits there is hardly any room in this shoe. However, I have 3 things to complain about, therefore the point deduction: 1. The laces are quite smooth, so it is advisable to have a double knot at the end. 2. The top 6 laces of the lacing are crap. Too small and too open, the shoelaces always slip out again - that should Salewa actually better! 3. The upper pair of hooks sits too high - or the tongue is too short, because: After a short wearing slip the laces over the tongue and then sit on the shin! (If you see the pictures on offer, you can already imagine ...) Remedy: make the last lacing 'backwards', so pull through from top to bottom (which should also generally help with shoes against accidental rise of the loop) ...
