Product Description
The light and compact VOLTA GUIDE 9.0 mm rope is suitable for intensive mountain climbing. It is equipped with the water-repellent Guide UIAA Dry impregnation, which protects it from moisture and makes it suitable for daily use in extreme conditions. It is certified as single, half or twin rope at the same time and offers numerous application possibilities to ensure maximum flexibility.
Guide UIAA Dry Finishing
The water-repellent Guide UIAA Dry impregnation Petzl's most elaborate finish for frequent use in humid environments. The difference is particularly noticeable in daily use in extreme environments (ice climbing, mountaineering). The finishing also improves the rope's resistance to dirt and abrasion.
The Guide UIAA Dry impregnation meets the requirements of the UIAA Water repellent test. The test results show a water absorption of less than 2 %.
The Guide UIAA Dry impregnation of the ropes takes place in two steps: Before braiding the rope, the rope core is first impregnated. The complete rope is then impregnated in order to reduce water absorption and the penetration of small particles into the rope to a large extent.
Middle marker
Marking of the rope centre to simplify rope manoeuvres.
EverFlex finishing
The special finishing stabilises the threads and makes the rope more uniform. The rope lies well in the hand and guarantees a permanently good handling. These properties are also achieved in semi-static ropes by means of special braiding.
