Patagonia's close-fitting trucker cap now has a peak made of NetPlus material from Bureo with full proof of origin. The front is made of 100% organic cotton; the back has a polyester mesh insert and an adjustable snap fastener.

Organic cotton
As Patagonia became aware of the dangers of pesticides and artificial fertilizers in cotton cultivation, only organically grown cotton has been used for all cotton products since 1996. Organic cotton is of equal or better quality than conventional cotton, but its cultivation promotes biodiversity and the health of ecosystems, improves soil quality and requires less water. However, organic cultivation requires more time, knowledge and skill and is therefore more expensive. But it's worth it. To ensure that the organic cotton meets the National Organic Program guidelines of the US Department of Agriculture, Patagonia requires a series of certifications from a recognized, independent testing agency for all stages of the supply chain.
