Paddling Shoes: For warmth & protection
When you're paddling in warm temperatures, the wet won’t usually affect your feet that much. But in cooler climes, wet feet means cold feet. If you want to stay completely dry, opt for a pair of taller waterproof paddling boots, or wear a pair of thick neoprene paddling socks that’ll allow your feet to get wet but stay warm. Carry a pair of shoes to change into if you're heading ashore during the trip. This will help you avoid chafing and blisters.
