Very disappointing

I had high expectations for this starter but was very disappointed. It only worked every second or third click and then the spark was so thin and weak it wasn't able to ignite my stove. Unfortunately I can't recommend it and I so wanted to. Returned

Optimus Sparky, class, perfect, flawless, stainless steel!
In a storm without a slipstream, you cannot light a gas lighter with a free, open (non-jet) flame.
The same applies to the piezo ignition of a gas burner.
It doesn't matter if the ambient air is storming or the fuel gas.
The outflow speed of the combustion gas at the burner head and the movement of the ambient air must be low so that the dwell time of the gas/air mixture at the ignition spark is appropriate and so that a combustible gas/air mixture can mix optimally.
It makes a difference whether you ignite an optimal air/gas mixture at rest or a more or less strong stream of gas in more or less moving air. This is physics and chemistry and has nothing to do with the ignition source at all. If the mixture flows faster than the propagation speed of the flame of the combustible gas mixture, nothing burns at the burner.
Anyone who buys a small, handy piezo igniter for several times the price of a discount lighter has opted for an eternally self-sufficient micro-ignition source and must take it easy.
Adjust the fuel gas valve to the position where the burner burns gently and safely when cold.
If necessary, click the Sparky with a hand slipstream or windshield on the burner head and the first spark is guaranteed to ignite the burner. (note valve position or valve rotations or flow volume)
Open the valve e.g. on the Optimus Vega approx. 1/4...1/3 turn (gentle performance) and the burner ignites with the first piezo click!
Anyone who does not understand this should first continue to light their lighter with half a candle flame and move it to the burner while it is burning in the wind.
In the long run, the mind then comes to a direct piezo burner ignition process. (Greetings to the 1-star or bad reviewers)
To avoid loss, I recommend checking the knot of the thin cord in the wrist strap's socket lock.
The Chinese lacked effort and glasses here.
Push out the cord, reposition the knot if necessary, pull tighter and melt off the ends of the cord a little.
