Looks like a good idea until you use it.
An Optimus spoon in the eye catching green and black to match your other Optimus gear and a seemingly clever sliding mechanism seems like a great idea at first but experience has shown otherwise. Because of the sliding section it is almost impossible to keep the handle part hygienic in the field as the slot cannot be cleaned out properly. The spoon part itself is quite thick plastic, thicker than most others, but still manages to flex considerably when extended and also has a particularly shallow bowl which means it doesn't hold much. The biggest problem though is the cheap plastic used which melted on the end when I tried to use it to stir my soup as it was cooking. It's a shame as I am something of an Optimus fan as I own several stoves and cooksets and they have all been excellent. I really wanted to like this product but I am afraid it has been a great disappointment.
