The plastic tent material dissolves after a long period of absolutely dry storage (not in use). It starts to stick and smell unpleasantly like plastic. The glue on the seams becomes brittle and crumbles.

We bought the tent for our trekking trip in the Pyrenees this summer. We have practiced putting it up and down and finding this quite easy, just as we have a good sense of room for sleeping, being able to sit upright, being able to get in and out of the tent easily on both sides. POSITIVE:
My girlfriend and I have now been able to test the tent in Scotland for a week. The tent has withstood the local climatic conditions (strong wind, rain, but also heat) very well. Thanks to the continuous bar construction, the tent can be set up and taken down extremely quickly; we also used the matching footprint, which makes a solid impression. Due to the Meshmaterials used the tent is very well ventilated, but without it is windy or loud inside; The aeration has also contributed positively to the fact that often has formed little condensation on the inside of the outer tent. Inside the tent it still remained dry. The tent is in the gray version inside pleasantly bright. Who likes it a bit darker, should rather resort to the dark green version.
NEUTRAL:
It would be nice if MSR coated the dark red guy lines with fluorescent material so that they would be visible even in the dark. It would also be advantageous if the supplied pegs were additionally marked, as these are sometimes hard to find, if they are deep in the ground.
NEGATIVE:
Although we have treated the tent carefully throughout the trip, it already has two small holes in the white material of the inner tent (not in the mesh material). Unfortunately, we do not know where these holes come from, especially since the inner tent has not come into contact with any sharp objects. Whether it is a material defect, or an insect has pierced the material, we do not know. In view of the higher purchase price, it seems a pity that the material is very filigree. We have now ordered the repair kit from MSR and hope to be able to repair the holes accordingly, so that the tent will be with us for a longer time.
Regardless of this, two of the aluminum pegs have already bent into a harder ground when driven in. These will now be replaced by MSR Groundhog Mini Pegs. Nonetheless, the included pegs appear robust considering their light weight.
