Protective mid-cut footwear with leather upper, soft collar and waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membrane: developed for technical accesses, via ferrata and hiking even with heavy backpacks. Light and comfortable for hikers and mountain lovers.
The high shoe collar protects the ankle while providing flexibility and stability for complete control when pedalling. The STB Control System provides additional structure and stability when traversing. Clean and essential design thanks to its robust leather, very scratch-resistant thanks to the PU TechLite all-around edge, Vibram MegaGrip sole with climbing zone in the front and Impact Brake System in the back: designed for climbing and descents on technical surfaces. The lacing system is derived from the Mythos climbing model and allows adjustment of the tension and the fit volumes in just one move. Traverse X is the maximum expression for movement on the mountain: fast, comfortable and safe.
Impact Brake System
Innovative system attached to the sole that cushions the impact, helps when walking uphill and prevents slipping forward when walking downhill. Designed and developed in La Sportiva’s Research and Development Centre in collaboration with Vibram. Offers the user real advantages by reducing the negative impact upon the ground, thanks to its particularly oblique arrangement of studs on the profile.
STB Control System
The TPU skeleton on the sides of the upper runs downwards and envelops the midsole in the medial area, thus stabilising the footwear. The STB Control solution allows for a tight fit and generally provides more stability through cooperation between the upper and midsole. Without heavy, stabilising inserts in the mid area, the shoe becomes much lighter.
