It uses a mesh,waterproof upper that is extremely snug fitting and a 3 layer construction that provides: comfort, thanks to the seamless construction; flexibility and structure thanks to the innovative MicroLite Skeleton that follows the natural movement of the foot when running; protection thanks to the Flex-Guard inserts that offer a lightweight barrier against abrasion during rocks and roots while running. Exceptional stability is provided thanks to the TrailCage System which is placed between the two layers of the uppers to give structure and a snug fit, and is fully integrated with the lacing system. The outsole has been developed by the La Sportiva R&D department and uses the grippy FriXion XT with Impact Brake System and an exclusive design with Trail Rocker technology to facilitate “external heel –internal toe” motion while running. Shock absorbing, protection and comfort, 3 layers in perfect geometry: origami inspires the overall design of the boot. With Akyra, winter running is an art.

The GORE-TEX water-repellent Gore-Tex laminate is the ideal garment for any outdoor activity. Providing reliable protection against the wind and the weather, the GORE-TEX membrane provides high breathability. Thus, the body is kept dry and cooled during exertion. At rest, the material offers warming comfort.
The neutral shoe or cushioning shoe is equipped without pronation support (the lateral support of the foot). It is therefore particularly suitable for runners who have a regular rolling behaviour, i.e. who do not bend inwards or outwards when running. The neutral shoe can be used in competitions, fast training or long endurance sessions. The cushioning can vary depending on the intended use. In order to achieve a more direct ground contact in competition, it is advisable to use a slightly damped shoe. In training on hard surfaces or with long units, more cushioned shoes offer better comfort and protect the joints.
