The neutral shoe or cushioning shoe is equipped without pronation support (the lateral support of the foot). It is therefore particularly suitable for runners who have a regular rolling behaviour, i.e. who do not bend inwards or outwards when running. The neutral shoe can be used in competitions, fast training or long endurance sessions. The cushioning can vary depending on the intended use. In order to achieve a more direct ground contact in competition, it is advisable to use a slightly damped shoe. In training on hard surfaces or with long units, more cushioned shoes offer better comfort and protect the joints.

After I tried many shoes from other manufacturers and was never really satisfied, I bought this time the La Sportiva Akyra GTX running shoes men black / poppy. What can I say I am absolutely thrilled. I have a very wide foot, which is why I ordered the shoe one size larger. After I run the shoe in, it feels like I'm wearing socks. The hold is excellent and the slip resistance is also very good. I travel a lot in the Bergisches Land with my dogs and I have never felt so safe in a shoe. Thanks to GTX it is breathable & waterproof what more could you want?
My next high shoe will again be a La Sportiva which hopefully is worth the price of the Akyra GTX.
