Especially light and windproof cold-weather jacket with a zipper.

The light and windproof cold protection jacket keeps you warm with its synthetic fibre filling. At the same time, the filling is easy to clean and insensitive to moisture. That's why the jacket isn't bothered by light snowfall. It can be zipped into a waterproof jacket with a system zipper.

Airgrid 20D:
Light as a feather, wind-, fibre- and down-proof fabric made of extremely fine 20D polyester yarn. The material is water-repellent, very supple and compact. Thanks to reinforcing threads (mini ripstop construction), it's tear-resistant despite its low weight.

Fibercloud HT, 500cuin:
The synthetic fibre filling combines the best of both worlds: It has the bulking power and high thermal performance of down and all the best properties of synthetic fibre insulation. Fibercloud HT consists of micro/hollow fibres of different length, shape and fineness that form loose flakes. The synthetic fibre filling is processed like down, i.e. loosely filled into chambers where it can fully develop its bulking power (at least 500 cuin!). This (and thus the heat output) is maintained even when Fibercloud HT is damp with snow, rain or sweat. Also, the material dries quickly and is particularly easy to clean. Both prove to be practical especially on tours, when the opportunity to stay dry is rare.

Microguard Maxloft:
The padding is a fibre composite of two components for optimal insulation with minimal weight. Originally developed for sleeping bags, Jack Wolfskin also uses them in padded winter clothing because of their good heat/weight ratio. The first component (Micro) is a finely branched, compressible microfibre with a strong insulation effect. The second component (Guard) is a stabilizing fibre layer for durability and bulk. Microguard Maxloft is a particularly luxurious quilting, which stores even more warming air through hollow fibres and tends towards down in its heat/weight ratio.

Fair Wear Foundation:
The Fair Wear Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to improving working conditions in the textile and apparel industry. The FWF concentrates on factories that process fabrics into finished products (clothing, equipment, footwear), as this is the most labour-intensive part of the supply chain. FWF cooperates with brands that take their responsibility seriously and actively work with suppliers on improvement.
