Utlizing GORE-TEX product technology, the Roclite 315 GTX delivers the optimal combination of support, climate comfort and protection. The perfect shoe for adventure-seekers who are running/trekking when outdoor conditions are wet and wild. Includes graphene grip (G-Grip).
Graphene Grip Collaborating with graphene experts at The University of Manchester, inov-8 has been able to infuse the wonder-material into rubber.
200 times stronger than steel and super-lightweight, graphene is also the thinnest material on earth. Graphene is extraordinarily flexible, and can be bent and twisted, folded and stretched without any damage.
This graphene-enhanced rubber can flex and grip to all surfaces more effectively, without wearing down quickly. This provides reliably strong, long-lasting grip. The graphene enhanced outsole rubbers are scientifically tested to be 50% stronger, 50% more elastic and 50% harder wearing.
GRAPHENE GRIP: Revolutionary graphene-enhanced G-GRIP outsole delivers insane sticky grip AND increased durability – all in one rubber. The world’s toughest grip. No compromise.
Straight cut for normal freedom of movement
The neutral shoe or cushioning shoe is equipped without pronation support (the lateral support of the foot). It is therefore particularly suitable for runners who have a regular rolling behaviour, i.e. who do not bend inwards or outwards when running. The neutral shoe can be used in competitions, fast training or long endurance sessions. The cushioning can vary depending on the intended use. In order to achieve a more direct ground contact in competition, it is advisable to use a slightly damped shoe. In training on hard surfaces or with long units, more cushioned shoes offer better comfort and protect the joints.
Size is almost the same as the newer Merrell, ex Merrell MOAB 2. It can be a kind of reference in relation to size. Merrell has become narrower at the front, and you have to increase the size. These fit nicely when I used it as a starting point.
The laces are thin and could have been thicker. There is a little too big an opening between where the upper part under the laces ends and the shoe can be open at the top if you do not tie quite tight.
Bought due to mention of soles. Several Merrell and other brands with Vibram can become hard and slippery on surfaces.
Used in minus 10 degrees, and keeps the feet warm. There is little protection really and they are thin, so I will use other shoes in rough terrain with more protection.
Nice shoes, bought for ultralight walking and some quiet running on the trail. They are comfortable, not too warm for a membrane (with the right socks), good cushioning. Namely, it is small: I have a short foot, a little wide, a small 42 in length, but there the 42 was clearly too tight. The 42.5 goes but nothing too much (the end of the shoe is slightly narrow in shape). The rubber seems to me to wear out quickly enough on the asphalt: to prefer the paths.
