The neutral shoe or cushioning shoe is equipped without pronation support (the lateral support of the foot). It is therefore particularly suitable for runners who have a regular rolling behaviour, i.e. who do not bend inwards or outwards when running. This is my first and last Hoka one on, I had read in several reviews that this is one of the best padded shoes and I was just looking for a shoe for daily runs on asphalt and concrete. My experience of mach 4 is that it feels like strapping a few flamingo chargers under your feet and then running. I have long run on the front 1/3 of the foot, with mach 4 I land in the middle of the foot with a slap as from a belly splash from the 5 m rocker.
An absolutely bad experience and a definite mistake.
