Perfect for me
Translated from the German
To the original
For me, the perfect first location for mountain biking in winter. Wear it under a soft shell jacket at about 4 - 10 degrees in moderate wind (45 km/h).

Excellent!
I bought one of these just over a year ago in preparation for a trip to Nepal. I wore it more constantly than I care to say during that trip (3 weeks continuous under canvas) with a wide variety of different walking and weather conditions. That included one or two clammy days down around 3000m and a couple of really chilly ones up above 5000m, plus an Alpine start at 5800m to summit at 6500m.
It did just what I'd want a base layer to do - kept me warm when it could have been chilly, didn't make me sweat (too much) when I was working, moved moisture off my skin and towards my outer layers when I did sweat, dried off really quickly, never itched, never chafed, had very well-positioned seams (esp across the shoulders where the bag straps go), and even managed to smell remotely bearable by the end of the trip.
Have previous experience with "string vest" type base layers and love them. This is my first Merino "string vest". I'm a convert.

Great piece of kit, does exactly what it was made to do. I have used it as a baselayer under a Snugpak smock and the sweat is wicked away completely. I have other technical baselayers but the Aclima top works more efficiently than any of the rest and feels more comfortable as a result.
I can confirm like the other review that the garment does not have any discernible odour after exercise which is another plus point
I am 5 feet 8 inches tall and 10 stones and the Small fits snug but perfectly.
